Deep Geothermal Services

Geothermal energy has been used for thousands of years in some countries for cooking and heating, it is simply power derived from the earths natural internal heat. This thermal energy is contained within the rock and fluids beneath the earths crust. These underground reservoirs of steam and hot water can be tapped to generate electricity or to heat and cool buildings directly.

Ground/Water/Air Source Heat Pumps

There are multiple geothermal technologies currently available with distinct levels of maturity that makes them ideal power sources for heat pumps. These include district heating, geothermal heat pumps and heating greenhouses. A heat pump works the same way as a fridge - just in reverse and is suitable for temperatures up to 75℃.

Solar PV

Harnessing the limitless power from the sun. Solar panels do not require sunlight to generate electricity, simply day light making them an ideal green energy source in the UK. With both roof mounted and ground mounted systems, the potential for solar power is almost limitless.

Welcome to Geothermal Power Ltd

Our mission is to establish geothermal energy as one of the main renewable energy sources in Scotland and the rest of the UK. This will be accomplished by accessing the abundant geothermal energy of Scotland’s geology, including mine workings, rivers, deep & shallow geothermal heat sources and solar energy. This will provide zero carbon, 24 hour, renewable electricity and heat to communities of industrial, commercial and domestic energy users. When geothermal power is combined locally with other forms of renewable energy these communities will be completely self-sufficient and sustainable, which will reduce the reliance on the National Grid and the environment. This self-reliance will remove the large changes in price as local renewable energy can be delivered through a Private Wire System with pricing guaranteed for decades removing external market price volatility.
